The right is not based on any "god", nor any religion nor interpretation of religion. That is another mistake of the so-called "conservatives." They think inalienable rights devolve from god. They do not. They are part and parcel of a Rationalist philosophy that virtually all the Founding Fathers supported during the era of the "Great Awakening," as it is called.

It is this philosophy of existence, Man's place in it, and the resulting morality and ethics that stem from it that create the foundation for these inalienable rights, based on an objective assessment that the fountainhead of wealth and happiness springs from individual's minds.
