No big surprise. This was mentioned in their last conference call. Message 13478611 Then they said they anticipated making delivery in the third quarter for the 1888 model, which was "well-adapted to the fast-growing wireless market." The announcement is quite early in the third quarter; not sure the lag time to significant deliveries. I would suspect there may be a sizeable number of beta units out there already, but have no particular knowledge to say so. Anyway, it seems like good news, that they are coming out with new products. But we still have our fingers crossed as to COHU's sales of existing products. My father gets IBD, and he says they report has an "E" rating for institutional investment, meaning that the big boys have been getting out of the stock. Izat true? Sure feels like it's true. Maybe after earnings the big boys will come back in again? GTW
