Nigel,

My sincere apologies. I may have scared someone by going in with a very generous limit order for 5K shares of NBSC this morning. It filled just fine. Then I put my second order in and things went nuts. I'll go try again just for kicks :-)

Thanks, Torben

Nigel,

I went in for 5K on NBSC just now. I went in at the ask of $7.5, but I only got 500 shares out of it. Then the ask went to $7 13/16.

Thanks, Torben

Nigel,

NBSC is so easy to move it's almost funny. Touch the ask and it moves. There does not appear to be a lot of offers stacked up behind it. I've been chasing it up just to get a reasonable basket. Either someone really smart is sitting with a large block ready to go or this one is going to keep rising at the slightest push.

Thanks, Torben

P.S. I've had enough for today; someone else's turn :-)

{BTRN, GLIA, and NBSC} stomping around with heavy boots....

OK with me; I own two of them-:) It's interesting that GLIA volume is strong in aggregate, but represents a lot of small trades. Value Line hit another high today, indicating strong interest in small product companies, and companies with near-term products. Apparently, it is small investors seeing this opportunity.

AMEX Biotech Index is up 88% so far in 2000, vs. only 20% for Philly Pharma (which hit a high yesterday). In the background, NASD Composite is +1% in 2000, so you can see the reason for rotation into biotechs.
