The yield is very high because the properties have an extremely short life. Most of the production is new production from the Austin Chalk formation. It's not unusual for an Austin Chalk well to pay out in 12 months, and produce 75-90% of the value in the first 12-18 months. This was the game that CHK was playing when their stock went to the moon during the last cycle.
