All, the following table summarizes the consensus earning, whisper (from EarningWhispers.com) and earning date. All the heavy hitters we follow report next week. AMCC set the tone right in this earning period. But will the street continue to support 3-digit multiples (also PMCS, BRCM)? Until the roller-coaster trend is broken, taking quick profit and cutting losses fast is my motto. The wireless chipmakers have suffered quite a bit, bringing ANAD, AHAA, and SAWS into a more reasonable multiples of 40- 60. RFMD is still way high although they have the best potential as the big horse going forward. CNXT is cheap compared to RFMD and BRCM but the street punishes them for their diversed offerings - not fair but that's how sentiment works. My sleeper of the semi is DIOD (non-glamorous semi with multiple <20) and is scheduled to split next Monday. Been following it for a while and is a big swinger with small float. HLIT (in deep hole) is a long term hold here. QCOM is the same story. $50 is an entry point for many fund managers so I think $50 is a good floor to build a base.
