A couple websites were reporting accounting irregularities when in fact it was this report you mentioned. The irony is that the updated report talks about Ciena's IMPROVED financial condition.

RE: CFRA headed by a Howard Schilit about the accounting used by Ciena- I heard on CNBC early this morning that DLJ was defending CIEN with respect to comments made in this report. The word was that the reference to CIEN may have been "misconstrued". After this announcement CIEN begin trading up on the electronic trading nets. Does anyone have any further info on this? Is there any smoke here or is it still causing confusion and depressing CIEN?
