Re: Do those Talking Heads know how to read financial statements?

Haim, yes they do. They selectively pick and choose who gets away with it and who doesn't. A good example was a few quarters ago when MSFT and INTC reported around the same time. They hammered MSFT for taking investment gains to pad the numbers. They propped up INTC even though they would've missed if it hadn't been from investment gains. Actually, I believe INTC would've missed the past 3 quarters if they wouldn't have been able to toss in investment gains. IBM comes to mind as one that's also getting picked on now. YHOO, INTC, and DELL are one's that can use all the "financial engineering" possible and no one will say anything.

Haim, in this case i think it was relief that the quarter didn't turn into a catastrophe.

as it were, eps from operations at YHOO have stopped growing for the fourth quarter in a row, due to the continuing dilution in the wake of egregious stock issuance. like all the new era cos. it is primarily a stock selling scam.

"Do those Talking Heads know how to read financial statements?"

Haim, YHOO beat expectations, that's all you need to know.
