i know...actually they're more likely a data entry on some computer in the BoJ's cellar.

so i guess you can't even make fire with them...pity.

the blackmailing works in both directions. i'm sure Summers let it be known that Japan runs the risk of ending up with a pile of worthless crap if they raise rates and pop the US bubble that way. it's exactly like Volcker said a while back...the whole world depends on the US stock market bubble, which in turn depends on fifty stocks, half of which have no earnings.
