I was pointing out that the inclusion of religious material in education automatically creates controversy even among the experts in the field. In contrast, scientific material is always subject to external review. Controversy is essential, but can be resolved among experts. IMO, it doesn't matter how much one prays and reads, one cannot convince anyone else about religion. In contrast, scientific research solves problems, usually creating new problems along the way. IMO religion is purely subjective. Science can be made objective. I do not assert that all scientists are objective. History is full of delays in correcting scientific mistakes that last for thousands of years. Aristotle said that dogs had no muscles in their front legs and women had fewer teeth than men. No scientists believe that any more. The Bible provides data that show pi is 3. If Christians or Jews were interested in truth they would correct that section.>> Boiled down to it's core, religion is a label which defines and ties belief systems with ceremonies and acts. The necessary defining and labelling that must go on inside religions create friction, restrictions and limitations which run counter to our unlimited inner nature and potentail for embracing and sharing peace, grace and love. All world religions are entering a massive transformative time right now. What was up will appear down. What looked "right" will seem "wrong" etc. Darkness will become light and light will become darkness. The only thing we all need to know and understand is that we all have the power to create light, trust, energy through unconditional acts of helping, serving and sharing with others. The risks we take with others to sow these seeds is fused into one thing: LOVE. Peace. GO!!
