I tried a people search on alias only with the characters 'Wes'. The results don't look right to me. In fact, I don't see what 'Wes' has to do with the aliases returned by the search. Am I missing something, or is this an SI glitch?

having the cursor appear in the quote box instead of the text box when I am trying to compose a public post seems like a pretty simple thing to fix
