Yogi,

when wrestlers and has-been baseball players appear on financial TV specifically to give their stock picks, it does make you wonder.

The funniest thing is how CNBC justifies their appearance: "Coming up next on Squawk, Jose Canseco. Jose has made a lot of money in the stock market in the last year. Stay tuned, as Jose will provide his latest stock picks--you won't want to miss this." Which begs the question: who HASN'T made a lot of money in stocks lately??? Yet CNBC would have you believe these guys have somehow figured out a surefire way to beat the market.

Wrestlers and washed up ballplayers on Squawk...there is definitely a parallel between that and the shoeshine guy giving Joe Kennedy stock picks in 1929.

On a positive note, at least there are a few new commercials that are pretty funny. The Archipelago one with the guy in the job interview is absolutely hilarious, "Uhh, I'm pretty good at lookin' busy."
