Leland, what about if you your self would research when GSM started to use power control?? >> yes. controlling power in the abstract is not new so it is possible that GSM has some form of power control; it is simply not even close to the power control used in CDMA and other code sharing technologies. no need to research this since cdma and gsm are completely different. i understand power control and tried to explain it briefly. beyond that, i suggest reading a book on the subject.
