Who "accepts" it? I do not claim it can be proved. Not I. I merely think the THEORY evolution fits the known facts best...so far. I think you need to find someone else to argue with if you want someone who "accepts" things. I accept that things have been found which we call fossils. I accept these things exist- in that they have as much reality as other things I accept as existing. I accept that these things called fossils represent the ossified bones of creatures no longer in existence.

I see some fit with a THEORY that creatures change over time. I see no evidence that these fossils were put in the ground by some force wishing to "fool" us.

I do not claim these fossils and the Miller apparatus and mitochondrial DNA, and all the other evidence biochemical and otherwise that bolsters the THEORY of evolution - PROVES the THEORY of evolution. It merely makes it more likely. You do NOT prove things in science, you estimate liklihoods based on evidence. If we had creatures being spontaneously created out of nothing (for instance tomorrow a heard of unicorns materialize in my driveway)- THIS would be evidence for creationism- it would NOT prove it, but it would make creationism more likely. As it is, evidence favors the THEORY of evolution. Since you are admittedly ignorant of at least some of the important evidence in this area- your opinion does not mean very much to me.

I do not care whether you accept evolution or not. It seems pointless to argue this with someone who is not up on the data and who does not even understand the argument. This isn't a religion- evolution does not require your "belief". There is no tithing to the fossil God. I think some people TREAT evolution like a religion- me I don't have no stinkin' religion. Ok?
