Tales of Qualcomm junkie, Part I

I bought my first shares of Qualcomm in my IRA last June. The story of my IRA is for another day. That's Part II.

PART I

Here, though, is the story of the personal account I closed yesterday, before today's rally.

1) 50 shares (pre-split) bought in October
2) 6 Jan440's bought in December (Q=410)

That formed the basis of my personal account in early January. We all know it was huge then. HUGE!

3) I had to put in cash to ward off margin calls in the late winter.

The check I will receive from my broker in the next week or two? Net LOSS of $45,000.

Remember, we're talking about one of the great runs in history. It was, of course, followed by some of the most incredible headfakes and FUD ever displayed. Talk about going to Advanced Stock Market 401 class. Whew!

After I sold out yesterday, while Jacobs was spurring the beginning of the rally, I was buying my ticket to Cuba. I should have trusted my "angels." Whenever a route to Cuba is planned, Qualcomm rocks.

Ticket in hand. Cuba rally has begun. Thank God I still control "Mucho Mas" shares of Qualcomm in my IRA. Did they rock today? Up huge.

For all of you interested in which stocks I control in my IRA: Qualcomm and JDSU. They are the "Cuba rally" stocks. For example: HDR for Qualcomm might get publicity; FUD may clear up in Korea for CDMA; those bastards at NOK might capitulate; Qualcomm, JDSU, ETEK, and SDLI might announce blowout earnings; and, even though JDSU is a Canadian company, it might get added to the S&P 500.

It looks like the setting is good for a "Cuba rally," July 17-August 7. It should be sweet.

Just porchin'
