Guy,

Do you agree that this powerful recognition may be a synergy, that helps to get this tornado twirling?

Not really. First, the TV Guide brand was licensed by Gemstar several years ago and I think was terminated two years ago. Second, what the strong brand name brings to the combined entity it was already bringing to the pre-merger TV Guide. That's my point about a tornado measuring total product adoption across the entire industry.

100 & Guy,

Having now listened to today's conference call I'm reminded of two issues that slowed down product adoption. Now that the judicial review process has been completed, there could indeed be an increased rate of adoption. Whether or not it results in a near-term tornado remains to be seen.

The first constraint now removed is that management has been spending a lot of time on the review process instead of spending normal amounts of time on issues related to the core operations. The second constraint now removed, and in my opinion the more important one, is that management made it very clear that the uncertainty about the merger among potential customers during the last eight (is that right?) months has caused deals to be put on hold. Removal of both constraints can only be good for product adoption.
