Kash, Mani -- Re: <Banning> First, If there is to be a ban, the offensive thread progression may not be available since SI seems to delete them(before ban, copy and post messages to an alternate location beyond SIs reach & post location, for a week, in opening message if possable, otherwise build a distribution group for personal mailings.). Second, We all 'own the thread' Linus doesn't 'own' Linux, Mani doesn't own 'Moderated AMD thread' he can ban but he can't dictate participation. Without participation it's over. I don't want splintering. I doubt that anyone else does either(including Mani). I'm irked that we have two AMD threads going now. That splinter should not have been necessary. IMO it was. Third, I would hope that it doesn.t come to any bannings. A little simple politeness should suffice. Thread flamings are old hat & most should have a thick skin to dopes by now. Mani -- thank you for creating the thread. Kash -- I assure you that I appreciate(and share) your fears. Scumbria -- You too, you sleazy anarchist(but I agree with you on AG ;-).
