No, theology is not science.

But they are much alike in that both (at least to mainstream practicioners) have accepted (but unproveable) principles which underlie them, and accept rigorous argument based on evidence. Where they differ is what they accept as evidence, and the rules of reasoning they accept (or reject).

If I say gravity does not exist, I can be
proven wrong.


Actually, no. Gravity is another accepted theory. But it is not impossible that gravity does not exist, and that all the observances of events we attribute to gravity are happenstance. It's possible. Highly unlikely, but possible.
