object to God in the schools

Inappropriate. If God exists, then God cannot be removed from the schools, or anything else. If God does not exist, then God can't be anywhere. Either way, moot point.

Secularists object to religion in schools. Religion is not God. In fact, I see precious little connection between the two.

I do not think it is God's actual presence or absence they object to- I think it is PEOPLE doing things like praying, and such like. Until God asks (himself) to be present in the schools I don't think we can know whether people will object to HIM being there, or anywhere else.
