Hello Thread, I've been lurking for a while ... Just wonder why so many of you put up for so long with the abusive behavior of a few of the old thread posters. Long AMD. Climbing the wall of worries. If the longest of the longs get so scared with deja vu rumors .. how can we expect the stock to go up? Earnings, earnings, and beating earnings estimates is all there is to it. fp_scientist

If you need to vent, head on over to to RMBS thread or something. :) Here's one for ya: You're always talking about how RAM latency is much more important than bandwidth. Well, what's the implication of using prefetching to hide latency? The biggest concern I've heard about prefetching is it can slow you down if you prefetch too much stuff you don't need. Well, with all the work intel has put into their prefetching compiler, maybe that's why they want all that high bandwidth memory on P4?
