Wednesday July 12, 11:43 pm Eastern Time Chinese military to hand mobile networks to Unicom BEIJING, July 13 (Reuters) - China has ordered the military to surrender control of its commercial cellular telephone networks and hand them over to China United Telecommunications Corp, a senior official said on THursday. The order, yet to be implemented fully, strengthens China United Telecoms, the state-owned parent of recently-listed China Unicom Ltd (NYSE:CHU - news) , by giving it control of a former competitor. ``All mobile network businesses will be transferred from the military to China Unicom,'' said senior Ministry of Information Industry official Jiang Shaobing. While the military-run networks are small, the move may boost the fortunes of San Diego-based Qualcomm (NasdaqNM:QCOM - news), which earns royalties and revenues on the CDMA standard the networks use. biz.yahoo.com

Good for you Dealie. I'm going to start doing that soon. Hope you get a real good premium on RNWK. Sure was a good day today - the trick is to getting of couple of them run together, or like last year, a couple of weeks run together. But I think we'll see it happen before the end of the year. Went out for a sail today - first time this season and it was glorious. And, since your asking, I still don't know if you're putting me on about your cat. You never did tell me but I figure its just sour grapes 'cause you didn't win the 25,000 post prize!!! Anyway, please tell me your cat's okay and I'll be happy again. love, rosie
