Polverizer, I've been trying to reply to you all day but SI wouldn't let me.
Apparently, SI's solution to pay all of us fine "Life Membership Purchasers" back by giving our friends free membership has overloaded their system...

I wrote a much longer version of the following two times only to have it lost in cyber space.
It was filled with inspiration and humor. Here is the condensed version:

To my good buddy Dusty,

We are all learning a very valuable lesson this year.
It's a similar version of a lesson we thought we had already learned.
Just like you, I am back down to a level lower than where I had started.
A few months ago, when the market crashed, I was down and feeling lower than low.
All of you on the porch helped to pick me up and dust me off.
Then one by one we watched each other fall. Each time there was someone strong enough to help each person back up.

We have really developed something special on this Porch here. There is something that this Porch possesses, that the others don't have.
The Porch is about sharing and caring. It's about helping each other learn and laugh. It's about a warm and wonderful friendship. It's about love.

It's also about Dealer Deleting her PM's.
:^)
(Just kiddin' Dealie. Luv ya!)

Polvie, you wrote:
to me, it's not a lesson to avoid risk - it's a confirmation that money is a dynamic commodity that flows like water or electricity. over the course of three years in the market i've had it flow freely both ways - three times - the perfect annual circle. i can do it again. money is always flowing into and out of the market. as i become more in tune and aligned with the flow i become a more likely, and larger, conduit. i've gained so much knowledge from the
people on this porch about financial tools, strategies and opportunities that i'll always have an edge in investing.
don't worry, i won't give up.

i'm learning that money is like love and the same laws apply... the more you give, the more you receive. if you try
to hold on to it and possess it, you stop the flow. if you trust it, set it free, give it away and share it, you open up the potential to have it flow through your life endlessly.

...and accordingly, it does not possess you.

Man-Oh-Man, The Porch it is about this!!

You are a brilliant dude.
I've learned a heck of a lot from you.
Mostly about loving people.
You are a professor of the highest degree in this field.
You have shined a light on me that will forever light up my path, regardless of how dark it gets.

You certainly give a lot.
(The IRS can vouch for that...)
:^)

Anyhow, I just wanted to take time to thank you for all you do. You've enriched all of us.

Luv ya dude,

-John

P.S. Please draw a new BISSI Index this year. I remember last year you drew that to explain why I was having such a tough time. I hated how accurate the darn thing was.
This time start the graph at the lower left side of the page and draw a diagonal line directly up the the top right side of the page...

<Clappy blows the dust off of the Lonworks Remote Control. He presses a few buttons. Floor boards begin shifting left to right up and down. The sound of hydrolics hydrolicking is heard as the beautiful mohagany wet bar rises from the porch floor.>

<The happy idiot puts on his aprin and walks over to his tip jar which hasn't been opened for a few months now. He unscrews the cap and reads: TIP- Sell your QCOM and put it all into BRCM, SDLI and BRCD way out of the money July Calls...>

D'oh!!

<Dealie shines up the bar top so the glasses slide nice and easy.>

<Clapper walks over to the Real Jukebox and inserts a few quarters. He presses B-52 and bombs us with happy tunes.>

<The sound of Bob Marley's voice fills the air as the words, "Don't Worry, 'bout a ting, cause every little ting, gonna be alright...>

I'm pourin'. Whaddaya have?
