Yet, another display on the unfairness of the system. If my babysitter totals $600 in a year, I am forced, by law, to provide her a 1099 and report her to the IRS on form 1098. If your babysitter earned $599, no paperwork is due. My babysitter is forced to report her income and pay tax, yours can ignore it because she hasn't been reported. Yours "nets" more than mine even though mine earned more.

The system is sick.
