Thanks Frank, Hey while were are on the CIEN thread, I'll ask you and others if anyone know of good article(s) comparing the networking OS available for new and next generation optical service management. It would be nice to look not only at the big 3+ (CIEN, NR, LU or ALA) but some of the newer players such as ONIS, SCMR, JNPR, Zaffire and of course Corvis. Some of these focus just on closed network access, but the more creative are addressing the non-trivial issue of interoperability with existing infrastructures and multiplicities of transmission conventions.
