07/13 3:32P (DJ) +DJ Datalink.net Up 24%; CFO Cites Recent Chase Pact >DLK

By John Shipman
NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Shares of Datalink.net Inc. (DLK) rose 21% Thursday in
heavy volume.
Bill Mahan, the company's chief financial officer, attributed the rise to a
combination of "good news that is starting to sink in" with investors, and a
recent mention on an investor Web site.
Datalink.net reported in a press release Tuesday that Chase Manhattan
Corp.'s (CMB) Global Markets unit became the first corporate client in its
Global Market Pro wireless data system.
Chase will use the system to provide market data to trading personnel via
wireless distribution.
Mahan said investors had little reaction to news of the pact with Chase when
it was first announced, but he said investors may be more interested after
having had some time to digest the news.
Also, Mahan said subscriber investor Web site The Bull Market Report had
positive comments on Datalink.net, and will be offering services through
Datalink.net to its subscribers.
Datalink.net closed Thursday up 2 15/16 at 16 7/8 on volume of 1.4 million
shares, compared with average daily volume of 478,083.
