The issue is not addressed. In fact, the whole topic is not addressed. And there is a reason for it! The market makers have significant advantages which they exercise in filling orders. Order flow is a big part of this game as well. The WSJ stories on Knight really opened my eyes. Remember: Knight has an entire group of traders who use the order information they get from Brown!! The articles made it clear that this info is used to trade against Brown's (and others) customers! So, when these guys say "Sorry: we are at a disadvantage," it is the big lie. SO Jeffry, are we topping out here or what?
