ot>Rose & Red:

Hi, you two ... but, Rose, what is origin of the word? How do you know this? <g> It ain't in the dictionary ... is it Hebrew? Need more than this ... LOL! I just need to KNOW stuff like this so I can put my mind 'at rest' wasting time WONDERING ... geez ... has to be something like 'mentally anal-retentive' ... hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Aw, Red ... you so flatter me.

I can understand from a creative standpoint ... I have worked and have friends (lifelong) in graphic arts ... love the minds of the talented artists AND photographers ... love the 'visual thinking.'

I've got a huge appreciation for it ... admiration, certainly, as well ... the way I see it is that you were born with that specific TALENT. I wasn't. Can't, even with early art lessons, dredge up 'talent.'

Mine is verbal. Born with it. Enhanced by environment and later, specific education chosen because of my interest in (journalism/marketing majors).

I am one of few, IMO, fortunate enough to have identified what I wanted to do and what I was good at. In high school. (Geez, not to wax on ...) I sat in journalism class senior year of HS and the thought clicked: I want to be educated and I want to be some sort of writer. So thankful for that.

IN OTHER NEWS: I interviewed a VP yesterday at a major conglomerate whose interconnect solutions division is my main client ... their biz lags core semiconductor OEMs by six months, typically ... interview involved his 'vision' short and long-term (short-term one year from now out; long-term up to three years) ... guy is brilliant, (MSEE; long, long career electronics design, mfgrng mngmt, etc) goes without saying ...

View: bandwidth demand incessant. Fiber optics is top, repeat, TOP, intense and emphatic focus for their new prod dvlpmt (connectors, cable, cable assemblies).

Markets/applications: tele/data comm, industrial equipment/factory automation/test & measurement instrumentation including medical instrumentation; defense electronics.

FYI.

This type of information and perspective to which I'm exposed through my career benefits (or, rather, INFLUENCES, at minimum) my own investment style/picks, etc. SOLIDIFIES my conviction that tech is the ONLY way to go in general as an investor.
