I think what also is important about DWA, and not in a small sense, is the absolute commitment to education. DWA has admirably succeeded through seminars, publications and personal availability of their analysts in educating investors. This allows them to become independent decision makers not just followers of opinion. You could provide all the charts and comments you want but if you don't teach them how to use the tools, how to expand their thought process in a methodology that is an art form, you really have provided nothing but a couple of pretty charts. DWA is still as committed, if not more, than ever to expand this education process and to be there to provide the additional support and research that is needed.
DWA has a personal touch that just isn't seen in research firms currently. The CNBC page is proof of this alone.

Of course all of this is close to my heart because I'm involved with the education at DWA, something I enjoy very much. For all of those that have been waiting for the University to be released I apologize for the delay. The project was a far bigger job than we had anticipated - but from those that have looked at it, I've receive favorable reports. We are almost there. Just a little more tweaking. This University is the next step towards furthering the education and DWA will only build on this going forward. I think in the next year the improvements and enhancements to DWA will be incredible :-)

Piffin' A!

Tom,

I've thought long and hard on what you posted, and absolutely agree with the enormous contribution you and DWA (and Jan, in particular) have made by way of education, hand holding, and sharing in your wealth of XO and market analyses. Count me as one very satisfied student and customer who has derived much. I now have acquired a modicum of XO discipline to guide me in those moments of panic and euphoria that are visited on us periodically. And have profited thereby, and, more importantly, now sleep better at night knowing that my buy/sell/hold decisions are made on sounder basis.

That others may be copying your presentation of the XO art should be flattering, IMO. It gives yet more evidence that the education by DWA has taken root. Though I do find some competitors' presentations compelling, for example percent charts and RS relative to any index or stock are innovative and worthwhile. User defined scaling and reversal criteria are nice to have on occasion. I still like DWA for dependability and analysis, education, hand-holding, etc., but there is room for the others too, especially if they're free of charge. It would be nice to have these features included as part of the basic DWA service, for us in the cheap seats. :-).

Regards,

Tulvio
