you may be right but there are few things in in the news that will have an effect on Science Park in Taiwan and that might directly or indirectly affect VIAs short term cash position:

1) there are some changes in tax laws that may potentially remove some of the technology tax breaks
2) banks are having some financial problems because of over-exposer to the industry

If VIA is dependant on funding in one way or another it is possible that they could not turn down short term cash in-flow offer even at the expense of long term interests.

I still think that you should give them some breathing room. If they would not have a good solution in mass production by q4 then someone else would..............
