Perhaps I should phrase it this way: I do not know it is not the truth, and it feels as "truthful" as anything else, so the fact that it is not publicly verifiable doesn't matter much. Since I have had occasion to change my mind on various things, I cannot exclude the possibility of changing my mind on something like this, but, on the other hand, I have found many things that I think to be reliable, so I retain a fair degree of confidence, even admitting lack of absolute certainty. Thus, since emphasizing something as an opinion is generally a signal of lack of confidence, I say I know it, reflecting my level of conviction. I am sorry to have left abruptly, and I will probably leave again after this note. I have gotten a "bug" that my family has passed around this week, and am not entirely mended.....
