OT: I.N., good to hear from you. I also believe it helps them psychologically to convince themselves of their own half-truths (a.k.a. lies). Repetitive posting helps some of them to this end, i.e. say something enough times and then it starts to ring true, eh? Of course this sort of self-induced brainwashing is made possible by the mostly anonymous nature of the Internet chat board relationships.
