Interesting Bob. I have been accumulating ITF. Southeast Alaska is very interesting because it is highly mineralized (the seventh largest in the world, I think <g>), lots of faulting and tremedous overburden because it has the highest bio mass in the world.

At one time the Juneau gold mine was the largest underground gold mine in the world in the late 1800', early 1900's, I think <g.. The whole area was really explored to death - and yet the greenscreek silver, zinc, lead mine (largest producer of silver in the US, I think - silver comes out in huge clumps) was missed, and it is only about 20 miles from Juneau, and not discovered until the 50's or 60's. Really big deposits in southeast and really hard to find. Very inclement weather.

The point is that Southeast Alaska has great potential and is really virgin territory in many respects. Very little modern exploration - one might find anything there.
