Dan,
I can imagine that the perp was not committing his first offense anyway. To cops, the shooting of one of their own, is just like someone shooting a member of our family. I can understand why such anger would well up in them. Any perp, worth his salt, should know that such forceful resisting of legal arrest, is going to get him hurt.

Jackson, Sharpton, and their ilk, are, IMO, trying to start a racial revolution, that will get very bloody before it is over. We can only hope and pray, that they are not successful.

Prolife, I wouldn't be a policeman for anything. They deal with the scum of the earth. They put their lives on the line every day. They have to (if they are normal) have a lot of apprehension when dealing with people who would just as soon kill them as look at them. Yet, if they become too aggressive they are maligned. If they take a "hands off" position they are maligned. They can't win. I believe most (not all) policemen and women are dedicated professionals. Criminals kill, maim, rob and do any horrendous thing to people. When the police become aggressive in apprehending these animals they are the ones attacked. Something is wrong.

They can't make the racial thing stick. Approximately half the police officers that joined in were black.
