Well actually I did used to write a lot of Equity puts......but to be more serious I would not trade like that as a rule. You can get crucified doing that stuff. I imagine if I were to get that nuts I would butterfly the trade, write the puts out a certain amount and buy in the puts a certain amount further out.

That is a lot of work. But it is the most profitable way to trade options.

Anyway, yes it would appear that I have to retire from active trading. I was offered monies to trade over the years and always refused. I cannot refuse this.

Maybe what I shall do is use some of the funds to buy a small software company and put them to work on the task of solving my Windows 2000 glitches. There is always a silver lining, you know?
