way OT: >>Where's Bobby Fisher anyways?? <<

After his big win in 72 Fisher pretty much disappeared for 20 years, returning for a rematch against Boris Spassky in 1992. To make things interesting the match was staged in war-torn Yugoslavia, where the US gov said he would be breaking the law if he showed up.

Show up, he did, to play a series of games on the tiny island of Sveti Stefan (I had the good fortune to visit this island a few years before that, it's connects to the mainland on a causeway and once you walk across you find the entire stone village was turned into a charming inn). Anyway, all the experts said it would be impossible to play at grand master level after being away from the competition for 20 years. But despite some poor games, he did win, again.
