well, one thing is certain, there are many troubling signs out there. the flow of funds in this market shows that lots of buying was done on margin, while at the same time corporations have become net issuers of stock for the first time in ages. so you have two props already out of the game - margin (because everybody who employs it is already margined up to his/her eyeballs) and stock buybacks - they are not surpassing issuance anymore. and then you have insider selling on a never before seen scale.
imo, a lot of support for this market comes from overseas -without that, it would trade at much lower levels already.

basically i have no issue with your arguments, aside from the fact that they were true last year and the year before that too. what i'm trying to say is we can't know for sure how long the game keeps going. for all i know it may be a while still.

but i agree 100%, the end will be a surprise, it will be dramatic, and it will screw almost everyone.
