---Can I upload ANY midi file, even one of my own creation?

Yes, you should create the midi and store it as a file on your hard disk, then upload it to a web page storage area and then link that to your page. XOOM has a very easy web page builder for this if your friend has little of no experience with web pages.

---Does he have a suggestion as to a "site" to go to from which I can make a selection like he did of the Kenny G selection?

OK Im going to give away one of my trade secrets but make ole 49er promise not to devulge this to anyone. :-)
I use this midi search engine when Im looking for a specific midi file. It searches in many parameters and will yield many hits.

musicrobot.com

---Does Reid have a recommendation about how many megabytes
= how many "seconds" or "minutes" of music takes how long to load at various bps speeds?

When I had a 56k wireline modem I found that a midi length of no longer than 5 minutes playtime was still within the bounds of being user friendly. I wouldn’t exceed that by too much. Cable users will receive a 5 minute midi instantly where as a 56k user make take 30 seconds to load the first time.

I hope this helps.
