JC,
Thanks for your reply. I no longer work and am stuck with the PC. Haven't the nerve to install LINUX, cause it will void my warrenty.

I was first exposed to computers around age 14 in the early to mid 50's. The ones that used IBM keypunch cards and then a few years later with, I think, a UNIVAC made by SperryRand? which was bought out by UNISYS?? think that is correct, which may have had punch tape, my memory is fading with age.

The move to PCs was trammatic for me. After 4 years I am now relatively well adjusted (my family may disagree with that description). Quicken is definitely a plus. Haven't misplaced one penny since I started using it. Finally, I have learned to live with Word, but spent years using TeX/LaTeX -- if you ever heard of it, by Donald Knuth, Stamford U. Even bought a laser printer with Postscript, just in case I decided to try TeX on the PC. Think that program is pretty much history now and the debugging my output was really a pain.

There are days when I think about taking courses at the nearby University, just to have access to the real thing again!

Have a good night/morning.

Merry
