I feel as if there is something pulling me - I am reminded of one of my mottos - "Strange travel suggestions are dancing lessons from God."

That's an interesting motto. Always feels rather uncanny when you go somewhere and just happen to be at the right place at the right time to see something very amazing... a form of good travel karma.

I would think that you might find that it is fairly easy to find a lot of information about students of the Carlisle Indian School now that so many art historians have become fascinated with the ... I guess they call it... ledger art... or notebook art... that many of the students created.

I've done quite a bit of research in similar areas (from both historical and art history viewpoints) and there is a lot of material floating around. I will probably remember more about places where I've heard of material being archived.

Driving around North Dakota sounds like a lark. There is nothing there.

Old joke .... SoDak and NoDak get into a war. SoDak drops the nuke on NoDak. When it is all stopped by the Feds, NoDak submits a bill for War Crimes, ..... $35 damage. -g-
