Reminds me of Star Trek OS episode (later in a movie) about the "Kobiashi Maru"...the no win situation...what do you do? You change the rules! Intel will change the benchmarks! Bet on it... Jim

Intel probably workforce larger than entire AMDs working on changing industry standards, compiler/benchmarking technology and working with ISVs to ensure new instructions get rolled into software. Keep in mind, Intel could make the dogchow PIII FPU to look good - One of the reasons I remain cautious about Wilamette performance inspite of the deeper pipeline penalty and single issue FPU. Chuck
