One thing for sure, you'll feel a warm Houston
welcome when you first step outdoors.

"It's hot as blazes."

I did some "little people" watching this morning, on the
lawn at my church. Seems a porta-petting-zoo had been
set up for the kiddies. Pigs, goats, sheep, rabbits,
ducks, geese, turkeys, a lone red chicken, a llama, calf
and small pony. Several kids at a time were allowed in the
pen to check out the critters. It was amazing how
peaceful and unperturbed the animals were amid the
noise and activity of the kids. And I found that kids still
come in varying personalities, from shy to aggressive.
The only minor calamity I saw was a small boy crying and
comforted by a mom after he had been scratched by a rabbit.
"Rabbits have claws?" I wondered. Never too old to learn.

Hope your stay in Houston is ... indoors.

When I return I will have to teach you how to look the little buggers with the small carts in the eye when their mothers aren't looking and make them cry.

Yes!! Please do!! Most of the time the little buggers narrow their eyes at me and make me feel like crying... yes... I am reduced to feeling like a self-conscious munchkin... I believe I could use some lessons in menacing grimaces....
