The site will undergo testing and will be fully operational in about two weeks , said President John Presley. "It's very exciting to have this new, modern sales tool available. We have charted our course and will continue to improve on this premier addition to our business. We encourage everyone to visit zonecabling.com , and visit often to see what we are doing as it evolves," Presley said. Zonecabling.com is a one-stop virtual warehouse for various manufacturers' products used in voice, data and video telecommunications infrastructure. Customers can order one piece or whole systems. The site also provides network design services to contractors and engineers. Presley said American Access' Chief Financial Officer and Director, Joseph McGuire, will serve as president of Zonecabling.com, Inc. McGuire replaces retiring CFO and Director Bobby Story, one of the company's founders. "Bobby has been invaluable to the growth of American Access, and for that we owe him immeasurable thanks. Fortunately, he has agreed to make himself available as a consultant to us during this transition. We are also pleased to have Joe McGuire on board, as he brings a wealth of Wall Street experience with his 20-year finance and securities background." McGuire said alliances with major distributors and manufacturers are pending. "We'll be announcing these as they are finalized and approved by the attorneys," he said. American Access developed an in-house IT department to build the web presence as a wholly-owned subsidiary, Zonecabling.com, Inc., after initial joint venture plans were scrapped with Miami-based Vulcan Microsystems, Inc. Vulcan would have been a 19 percent owner in the joint venture, and would have been paid 1 million shares of American Access common stock upon its delivery of the web portal. McGuire added that all costs associated with Vulcan were expensed in the first quarter of 2000. American Access manufactures zone cabling units that mount in ceilings, raised floors, and in custom furniture. The Company's concept of "zone cabling" reduces costs for installation and moves, adds, and changes by as much as 70%.
