I do tend to think that the tobacco companies are slime. I just think that the contributory negligence has to be weighed a little bit more seriously.

I am 37 years old, and I have always known that smoking was bad. Obviously, there was a time when that wasn't known, and those that were personally harmed then, should be awarded damages.

Alcohol certainly has many of the same characteristics that smoking has (addictive, bad for your health), is this industry next? Certainly the health warnings didn't start showing up on the alcoholic beverage containers until very recently and historically, the advertising certainly has presented alcohol in a light that isn't altogether truthful.

I should point out that I have never smoked a cigarette in my life.
