Now that's a good point. They regulate a known killer, shouldn't they bear some of the burden? They could have just prohibited the sale of tobacco, instead they taxed it and lined their pockets on the backs of the poor, helpless smoker...

JXM

Its my understanding we can't sue the goverment unless they let us.

Nice to see your core holding start to show some life today. I found out last week my next door neighbor is a salesman for them. I'm sure you know him his name is Steve.

Is it just me or is this like deja vue all over again. I'm waiting for the shoe to drop and end this party.

Tim

I do agree with Smithers that they are slime and they are liars and unethical. Just not sure that this was the right solution to the problem.

I am also curious if the U.S. Government is going to continue subsidizing tobacco farmers. Seems that they should have been a defendant in the cast (the Gov).

TOTALLY agreed!!

Maybe the government will pay the Farmers not to grow Tobacco. That will drive the price into X's the companies will earn more $$$ and be able to pay off the lawsuit judgements.
The bottom line is they will figure out a way to make us taxpayers pay these fees. We all know that.
BTW stock trading is the most addictive thing I have ever done. We had this opening today did 27 sales and I manageds to post and follow the market. Sometimes work gets in the way of the market. <VBG>
