BTW: Athlon seems like an appropriate choice for the Olympics. I wondered if AMD has retained any Utah businessmen to help get them on as the official CPU of the winter games?

Since they can associate cigarette with sports... why not! I bet compaq will have some advertisements ready for the omlympics. But it would cost them more than their quaterly earnings...

I heard they plan to make a computer speed race event and AMD has some chances to win in the x86 category, but I bet intel will secretly shoot liquid nitrogen injections in it's PIII.

SCUMBRIA:

Don't like your suggestion about Greenspan. I wouldn't want him to be even THINKING of AMD.....

Olympic suggestion is another matter. What about getting some small Utah town to rename itself from "Bountiful" or
whatever to "Athlon" and giving Athlons to all 200 residents.....

...."everybody in Athlon uses Athlons while keeping tabs
on the Olympics..."

Shouldn't depress the share price too much.....

Best wishes,
Jim
