He re-did the story of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence but researched it diligently and corrected the errors or misrepresentations that can be found in the variations extant. He acknowledged it was not wholly original but it is difficult to attribute to anyone in particular. (Possibly lawdog was responsible for the errors, or one of his ancestors.)
