Wow, what an interesting twist...and what a difference it makes to have a FAB...
If Intel stands to gain 40% of the cell phone market then I am grossly underweighted in Intel stock.
I cannot answer your question about CDMA...

This might also substantiate the rumor that Nokia is looking to buy AMD...the second largest maker of flash?
SNDK might make an interesting take over target for good measure...

Alas, there isn't enough tantalum capacitors...Something tells me there will be...sorry Sassy Sally Blarney...<G>

Tony, I attended a tech conference where Intel gave a wireless presentation.

I'm almost positive Ronald Smith (VP of Wireless Communications and Computing Group)said the new mobile phones / wireless devices will be based on W-CDMA.

I have to double check my notes but I'm almost sure of it.

Doug

Ps: Bought some QCOM in the low 50's the other day....pretty happy about that. QCOM gets same royalty from CDMA or W-CDMA. However, they will get some serious competition from Intel in their chipset business. That's why I only bought "some" QCOM.
