--OT-- Non-investment related questions.

I recently moved from Hilton Head Island to the mainland. On the island I had access to cable ISP for a little over $30 per month from Adelphia. Now, I am told by the local "monopolist", Hargray Communications, that I will probably have cable access in about a year. It will have a serious speed governor and cost about $60 a month with $200 "install". FWIW, the area I'm now in is affluent and growing like a weed.

This sucks.

Anyone able to explain or point me in the direction of info re. satelite ISPs (DirectTV in this biz?).

I would love to see a full page Alcatel ad (or insert) in the Sunday Island Packet, explaining what they can offer. Hargray needs to have a fire lit under it's lame, price-gouging tush.

Anyone have a clue what office of Alcatel (NN) I might contact to campaign for assistance?

Frustrated -

Mike
