Jay, I applaud your enthusiasm, but I am 58 years old with a 3-5 year time line and I've been loyal as I can to these people for as long as I can. Bernard bet the farm on G* and "slow start" can be an excuse for just so long. Look for your own good at the assets in GMH,e.g., already planning high speed internet access by next year and they are my CURRENT satellite provider in the sticks with great service, and affordable, and just trying to sell to Boeing their satellite manufacturing business. Rumors abound everywhere!,
but why haven't we heard that Rupert Murdoch instead of considering buying GM to get his hands on GMH? is considering buying Loral? I think that rumor is probably dung, for who wants to buy combustion engine cars? The point is GMH is growing like gangbusters and LOR isn't. And I have NO confidence in Bernie anymore and call him that just so it might piss him off. OBFUSCATION comes to mind whenever he opens his mouth. I was graced with an INTERVIEW, and all I really remember is how totally condescending he was, and how vacuous his comments...same old shit, and oh! he had to run.
I have lost trust because the board of the co. belongs to him and he is just an accountant who did well in cold war years. It's 21st century for Christ's sake...You have to execute or don't make promises..I wish you very well, but I just don't have the patience to wait anymore. I'm too old.

I'm with you on this one, Jay; although I can understand Jim's view in the next post. The wait has been veeerrryyy long but I've been doubling down and am comfortable with my current basis. I'll probably sell some of the higher priced shares for a tax loss at the end of the year and still have a great position.

On balance, it seems to me that the good news lately is outweighing the bad news and that the trend is in the right direction. Huge risk, no doubt. Huge potential reward, too. I like the odds at this point. Makes Lor/G* a fine high risk component of my reasonably balanced portfolio.
