Gateway bought ALR several years ago and integrated their products into its line. They kept the ALR corporate direct sales organization.

so IBM should get the most from its rich product lines?
hell no... it loses its PC sector to HWP recently...
then how DELL grows? It started its business from the mail order as pure box maker.
