Hi Tom

It wasn't really a party - more like a family dinner. Seems like the only time we all get to sit and have dinner together these days is when there's a special occasion like a birthday. It's great when your kids get older - they become less like children and more like friends. But you know that already.

Now I know why Polvie wouldn't go along with my suggestion that we dress up like Scarlet and Rhet for the Saturday night dinner at GoldCreek. Casting!

love,
Rose

Did you hear anything similar to "Tue 7:30 am EST" ???? But again, I also heard about Ford, which never happened..errr announced.

I just quoted what I was told by my source, however, I beleive Voltair has an excellent record on calling Q's stock price movements in face of important announcements.

QC layoffs coming:+20% across the board

Which is regrettable from the standpoint of those employees.

They will at least be turned out into a tight labor market w/many job opps in SD.

The reason for the layoffs is this: QC's 200-person layoff 6 weeks ago was ACTUALLY slated to be much bigger. At the
last minute, they cut back on the number and put out a minor press release the next day about 'just cleaning house' and how
they'd 'periodically make reviews and adjustments' like that in the future.

The layoffs are bad news for those employees, but the REASON for them is 100% logical, and is related to

1)fact that QC was never able to fully reabsorb displaced employees from previous sell-offs and spinoffs (Ericy Infra,
Kyocera handsets etc.) Particularly admin types on overhead. Also: QC kept a disproportionate number of 'that type' of
workers, when those spinoffs occurred, rather than dumping them onto Ericy or Kyocera. But more importantly, related to:

2)what's coming: either this week or next

At that point, it will all be clear and we'll see this stock head for a new, all time high faster than imaginable in recent months.
Their will be a huge paradigm shift in the perception of 3G evolution to 3G in EurAsia and Latin Americas. The QC stock
hamsters better be rested!

QC's news will also galvanize the whole tech sector, adding pure oxygen the stream of QC rocket fuel: (TI, MOT, Ericy,
NOK, RF Micro, IBM ALL to benefit directly or indirectly)

Think we're seeing a summer rally now?

Shorts will burn, and the anti-Qualcomm media naysayers (Ed Snyder, CNBC etc.) will quickly fade into the distant memory
Hall of Shame. They'll fit nicely next to that UC professor the media used to trot out in the early 90's who, like clockwork,
would announce every 6 months that "CDMA is scientifically impossible, and will never work"
